Playing into the Tough Guy Act

28 January, 2012 | | No Comment

My boyfriend is one of those guys who is constantly proving to everyone that he is really tough. You know the type I’m talking about. He’s a total daredevil, always taking on ridiculous challenges and doing risky things. He’s been skydiving about a dozen times, which worries me to no end. He puts hot sauce on absolutely everything that he eats. And I’m not talking about mild hot sauce. I’m talking about the really hot stuff! He picks fights with anyone who tries to cross him. Deep down though, I know he’s a big teddy bear. Whenever he pulls his “tough guy” act, I always just smile to myself because I know that’s exactly what it is. It’s a total act! But I love him so I just play along. I tell him to be careful and I nag him appropriately whenever I think he’s doing something stupid. I mean, I have to keep my man’s pride in tact!

Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours. Until the pork is falling apart. My daughter and I have been experimenting in the kitchen these past few weeks and one recipe that caught our attention was one that teaches how to make Chinese BBQ pork at home. We love to eat Chinese BBQ pork at the restaurant. You can eat it with noodles, rice, vegetables or just by itself. It must be one of the most versatile types of meats you can make. But before my daughter and I could go ahead and make Chinese BBQ pork, we must go to the grocery store to shop for ingredients.

Thankfully, the Chinese BBQ pork recipe that we found has all of the ingredients listed out for you so you can just write them down on a piece of paper and go the grocery store to look for them. Making Chinese BBQ pork has never been so easy before. When you choose a cut of meat, make sure you find one that best suits your tastes.

A New Bread Recipe

Moist Banana Bread RecipeMy sister recently gave me this healthy banana bread recipe so that I can learn to cook something that is much more healthier and very much tasty as per my kid’s standards. I only learned to bake a few months back but I really enjoy this activity and in fact, I learned I am so much more better at baking than in cooking as there is less ingredients and less things to do to be able to create a good cookie or biscuit in the process. This banana bread I got is good in itself, but I did some modifications myself so as to fit the taste and needs of my kids since this is going to become a staple snack for them. But all in all, it is a good recipe and a successful one since my kids really loved it and I have to thank my sister for this recipe.
